r WMaxtor OneTouch III Mini Edition user guide foindows and Mac

The Maxtor OneTouch III Mini Edition is not the smallest portable hard drives we've seen, both Apricorn EZ Mini and the Transcend StoreJet smaller (and include carrying cases, to boot). However, it is not a giant. Weighing less than 8 ounces and about the size of two decks of cards, side by side definitely small enough to fit into a purse or laptop bag.

The body drives is a silver plastic and black side pieces are slightly rubbery, reminiscent of the entire family of OneTouch III. A single button graces the front edge and rear drive only features a mini USB port and power port. Drive is bus-powered, but some laptop USB hubs may not provide enough power. For this reason, Maxtor ships the drive with a USB cable Y-shaped. Most users will need to plug only a single data and power connectors, but those who need more power to the drive to connect the second connector as well. (If both ports fail to provide enough power, Maxtor sells an optional power supply.
